Technics SC-CX700 + SL-40CBT – Vinyl and Streaming, One Brand

Technics built both halves of this system: a streaming active speaker pair with a phono input and a direct-drive turntable with its own preamp. Records, TV and streaming services play through two boxes and one order.

In This Setup

  • Technics SC-CX700 (pair) – coaxial 5.9-inch woofer and 0.75-inch tweeter, bi-amplified 60 W + 40 W, Space Tune room correction, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Roon, HDMI ARC, optical, USB-C, RCA and phono inputs.
  • Technics SL-40CBT – coreless direct-drive motor, built-in MM phono preamp, Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive and a pre-fitted Audio-Technica AT-VM95C cartridge.
